When you need it

A Pikler triangle becomes useful around 9 months, when babies start pulling up and want to climb. As they grow, it supports climbing, sliding and making forts, and many children use it until around 48 months.

What to look for

Choose solid wood with smooth, rounded rungs and a sturdy, non-slip frame. Check the weight limit and that it folds for storage if you have a small space. Accessories like a ramp or slide add play value. Always place it on a soft surface and supervise, following the manufacturer's age guidance.

Pikler Triangle: common questions
